Sitefinity "Child Links" Control

UPDATE: I renamed this control to GoonDocks "Links" Control and have included it in the GoonDocks Sitefinity Controls.  Go there and download it.  This control will change your life.

I created a simple Sitefinity control that allows you to select a page in your site map and the control will return links to the selected page's children pages.

Sitefinity comes with several top-level navigation controls.  All of these controls start at the root of the web site and offer tabs, trees, or menus to drill-down from there.

This "Child Links" control lets you chose the starting place and only returns links to its children.  So, for example, let's say you have the following pages created in your site map:

+ Colors
Red
Green
Blue
Yellow

If we wanted to return links to only the child pages of "Color" we could simply point the "Child Links" control at the "Colors" page.  The child links will be created automatically.  If you ever add or remove pages, the "Child Links" control will automatically be updated.  No more static links!

I have added this control to the GoonDocks Sitefinity Controls .

Hi, nice one! It would be also very useful if you could provide example of what the control renders. Thanks

    Hi,

your control sounds great - unfortunately we got a problem with adding it to our sitefinity installation. We already get the "error loading module error". Perhaps you can provide us with some detailed information where to copy the files exactly to and how our foldersystem should look like?!

    Thanks a lot!

is there a way for this control to "detect" what page its on, so that this doesn't need to be set on every page?

    This is great

what version of SF was this built with?
    does it work with 3.2 SP2 or 3.1 SP2

So I'm confused. What exactly does the output look like? Because to get the effect you are talking about in 3.2 all I have to do is change the 0 on say, a menu control to a 1 and I then get any secondary links related to the page I'm on.
